What does it mean to me?

SPS has been hired by Baker & Taylor to do their EDI testing, a task that was formerly done by in-house Baker & Taylor staff. Publishers will now have to pay SPS a fee of $500 before EDI testing can start. If testing is not complete within a specified timeframe, testing must start again with an additional $500 fee.

Clients currently trading with Baker & Taylor using the UnitechEDI translator are in full compliance with the documents that they have in place.

You are under no obligation to purchase any SPS product.

What must I do?

If you already have ASN, there is nothing else that you need to do. If you do not have ASN you can contact UnitechEDI to discuss your options.

If SPS Commerce contacts you either by phone or email, simply tell them  that you believe that you are in full compliance and if they have any questions, please ask them to contact Rich Vettel at 800 330-4094 ext 801.

If you have any questions about your compliance status or options for ASN, please contact Support at 800 330-4094 and press 1.

This is our best thinking on this matter. For confirmation you should contact your Baker & Taylor representative. For more information contact (800) 330-4094 or support@unitechedi.com
